AutoUniverse - Automotive Quality Universities


This Erasmus+ project kicked off in November 2015 aims at making the integrated automotive quality training program AQUA available for Higher Education. The core objective of this project is to qualify automotive engineering designers to achieve the integration of development process and product quality according to Automotive SPICE®, Functional Safety and Design for Six Sigma. This will be achieved thanks to a compact and modular e-learning enabled education program (with associated ECTS evaluation) based on the modular AQUA curriculum.

Kick off AutoUniverse

The best European practices of Automotive Quality Engineering will be prepared and the knowledge transferred to the higher education, based on a great demand identified in the European Automotive Industry. The results will be implemented in the lecture programs of participating universities from the Czech Republic, Slovenia, France, and Austria. All these universities educate thousands of engineers needed by the automotive OEMs and suppliers represented in the aforementioned European countries and beyond. Faced with the complex challenges of holistic quality engineering taking into account mechanics, electrics/electronics and software, as well as product design, development, and manufacturing, these companies experience a substantial gap between the quality engineering skills of recent graduates and their actual needs and expectations. This gap leads to a significant decrease in efficiency, effectiveness and therefore competitiveness of these companies.
