The G-SCOP laboratory is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 5272) under the joint supervision of three institutions: Université Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble INP - UGA, and the CNRS.
It is hosted on the Viallet campus of Grenoble INP - UGA.
As a multidisciplinary laboratory, it brings together the STIC (Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies) and SPI (Engineering Sciences) communities around research issues related to the design, optimization, and management of products and production systems.
The laboratory's faculty members belong to the following educational schools and departments: Génie Industriel, Ense3, Ensimag, and Polytech Grenoble for Grenoble INP - UGA; and PHITEM, IM2AG, and IUT 1 for Université Grenoble Alpes.
For the CNRS, the laboratory is primarily affiliated with the CNRS Information Sciences Institute.
For Université Grenoble Alpes, it is affiliated with the PEM (Physics, Engineering, Materials) and MSTIC (Mathematics, Information and Communication Sciences) research clusters.
